RAHWAY, N.J. (AP) - A motorcyclist was killed when his bike and a van collided on a northern New Jersey roadway.

Rahway police tell The Star-Ledger (https://bit.ly/1si6MfW) that 24-year-old John Hudak of Linden was northbound on St. Georges Avenue when the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The van was making a left turn when the motorcycle struck the van’s passenger side, throwing Hudak from his bike.

Hudak suffered injuries to his head and body and was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.



The van driver, 35-year-old Rafael Lopez, Jr. of Rahway, was not injured. But his passenger, 22-year-old Jennifer Mel Echevarria of Lancaster, Pa., suffered injuries to her right arm and right side.

No charges have been filed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
