BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (AP) - An Upshur County man accused of hiring someone to kill another man is asking the court to move his trial to another county.

Rodolfo Villagomez Correa is charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the death of 29-year-old Joshua Oberg.

The Inter-Mountain (https://bit.ly/1iFXNUOV ) reports that Correa’s attorney told a judge last week that Correa can’t get a fair trial in Upshur County because of extensive media coverage.

Co-defendant Jesse Lee Heater of Buckhannon is awaiting trial.

Another co-defendant, Robert Eugene Siron III of Weston, pleaded guilty last December to voluntary manslaughter and conspiracy to conceal a body. He was sentenced to a total 16 years in prison.

Oberg’s body was found in a shallow grave in a remote area of Upshur County in 2012.
