BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Three peregrine falcon chicks have hatched in a nest located on the 14th floor of a building in downtown Boise.

The Peregrine Fund says the chicks hatched sometime between Monday and Wednesday. The nest is located in a box high up on the One Capital Center building.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/1jvGMNM ) a webcam enables people to keep tabs on the hatchlings and their parents. The camera has been pointed at the nest box since 2009.

The Peregrine Fund says the first egg was laid March 28. A fourth egg isn’t expected to hatch.

Peregrine falcons were removed from endangered species protection in 1999.
