HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (AP) - A northeastern Indiana coroner has determined that a man and a woman found dead Thursday inside their home had both been fatally shot.

The bodies of 39-year-old David T. Wehrle and 49-year-old Linette A. Pass were found Thursday inside a bedroom of their Huntertown home after Wehrle failed to show up at work for several days.

The Allen County coroner ruled Wehrle’s death a homicide Friday due to at least one gunshot wound. Pass also died from at least one gunshot wound, but her manner of death remains under investigation by police, the coroner’s office and prosecutors.

The Journal Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1qpTRNm ) Allen County police have told residents in the neighborhood where the killings took place to remain calm and that they have nothing to fear.
