ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A woman who prosecutors say left her 4-year-old daughter in a car for hours while she gambled at a casino has been sentenced to 5 days in jail.

Twenty-five-year old Alicia Brown of Baltimore pleaded guilty on Thursday to reckless endangerment. In addition to jail time, an Anne Arundel County Circuit judge ordered her to serve three years of probation and to stay out of casinos and gaming facilities.

Authorities say police were called to a parking garage at Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover on Dec. 31 for a child left unattended in a car.

Prosecutors say security video showed the car entering the garage about 10 a.m. The child was found about 6:30 p.m.
