YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - An 18-year-old Yankton High School student has been charged with making a false bomb threat at the school.

The Yankton Daily Press & Dakotan reports (https://bit.ly/1klRgLL ) that Tanner Termansen was arrested Tuesday and later charged with falsely reporting a bomb threat, a felony.

He also has been suspended from school.

School District Superintendent Wayne Kindle says the bomb threat was found written on a table at the school library, and school officials immediately called police.

Students were held in their fifth-period classrooms during an investigation by police and school administration officials.

Kindle says it was the first bomb threat at a school in the district in more than a dozen years.
