Man in wheelchair killed in Olympia apartment fire

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - A man sitting in his wheelchair was killed in an apartment fire Wednesday evening in Olympia.

Fire Marshal Rob Bradley says investigators don’t know what caused the fire or why the man was unable to get help.

The Olympian reports (https://bit.ly/1jm8j3s ) the fire was confined to his apartment on the second floor of the Capitol House Apartments. The 90-year-old building served as the first St. Peter Hospital. It was converted to about 100 apartments in 1971.
