TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) - Preservation organizations are coming together to teach people how to restore gravestones.

Workshops on gravestone and cemetery monument conservation will take place May 7 and 8 at the Tahlequah Public Cemetery. The workshops will be led by a professional gravestone and masonry conservator.

The workshops are being put on by the Cherokee Nation Cultural Tourism, the nonprofit organization Preservation Oklahoma and The Saline Preservation Association.



The workshop is limited to 25 people and costs $45 to attend.
