TUSCOLA, Ill. (AP) - A central Illinois woman was found not guilty by reason of insanity after authorities say she tried to hire someone to kill an ex-boyfriend.
Thirty-one-year-old Jennifer D. Inman of Teutopolis was acquitted Wednesday in Tuscola. She will remain in a state psychiatric facility in Springfield.
Inman was arrested last summer in Tuscola during an undercover police operation. Prosecutors say she offered a man $10,000 to kill her 51-year-old ex-boyfriend.
Tuscola is about 20 miles south of Champaign and Teutopolis is about 55 miles further south.
