GATES, N.Y. (AP) - A police investigation that closed a portion of a suburban Rochester highway has found no evidence that a gunshot blew out a window of a transport truck.
The Monroe County Sheriff closed all lanes in a section of Interstate 390 in the town of Gates east of Rochester late Thursday morning after a truck driver’s report that a gunshot might have shattered one of his windows. But a search by deputies, state and local police, and FBI agents failed to find any spent shell casings or suspects.
Last week, a stretch of the same highway in the neighboring town of Greece was closed while police investigated a report of a bullet hitting a car.
