PHOENIX (AP) - A former Arizona Department of Public Safety officer has lost his authority to work in law enforcement following a Prescott bar fight in December 2012.

The Arizona Republic reports (https://bit.ly/1hYev1a) the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board revoked Bryce Bigelow’s certification last month. The action came eight months after his termination from DPS.

According to a DPS investigation, at least 16 members of the law-enforcement club Iron Brotherhood were partying at saloons on Whiskey Row in Prescott when a fight erupted at a bar.

Bigelow wasn’t present for the brawl, but provided an interview to DPS investigators in which he reportedly minimized a then-Prescott police official’s level of intoxication on the night in question.

A DPS spokesman says Bigelow was terminated for dishonesty but declined to disclose other details.
