WESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A former Lewis County High School band director has been sentenced to probation for taking sexually explicit photos of an underage girl.
WBOY-TV (https://bit.ly/1fxIYo3) reports 40-year-old Floyd Ellsworth Friend Jr. pleaded guilty Thursday in Lewis County Circuit Court. As part of a plea agreement, a judge suspended a 10-year prison sentence against Friend and placed him on five years’ probation.
A criminal complaint says police found the photos on Friend’s cell phone. He was arrested last July.
The plea agreement requires Friend to register as a sex offender.
