YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 65-year-old man has died in Yuma after the motorcycle he was riding was rear-ended by a car.

Yuma police say Wayne Helms was riding westbound on 16th Street near Gateway on Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle was struck by a Chrysler.

Police say the impact caused him to land in the road and he was then subsequently hit by the Chrysler, resulting in fatal injuries.

Investigators identified the driver as 18-year-old Rooslin Gomez.

It was not known if any charges would be filed against Gomez.

Police are still investigating.
