WINDHAM, Maine (AP) - Maine police say a Portland man was critically injured in a head-on collision with another driver who crossed the center line in Windham.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1i1eTvn ) that 26-year-old Craig McPherson of Portland was taken to Maine Medical Center after the head-on crash Sunday morning.

Police say McPherson’s Dodge Caliber was struck by a Subaru Forester driven by 25-year-old Brittney Hersom of Sanford.



The accident happened at about 8:30 Sunday morning and prompted police to close Route 302 for about three hours.

Hersom was hospitalized, but police say her injuries are not critical.
