Fargo student pulled from swimming pool dies

FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Fargo police say a high school student who was taken to a hospital on Feb. 18 after nearly drowning in a school pool has died.

Police say 19-year-old Frederic Ndereimana died on Saturday.

Ndereimana was pulled from the Fargo South swimming pool during a physical education class. Teachers performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

The incident is being investigated by the Fargo Police Department.
