JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources has reopened several oyster reefs to tonging.

A news release says the areas opened at legal sunrise Saturday include southern parts of the Pass Christian and Henderson Point reefs, Square Handkerchief Reef and northern parts of the Pass Marianne and Telegraph reefs.

They are listed as Area II C Conditionally Approved Waters, and the subdivisions II E, F and G.



All other areas remain closed to oyster harvest and all other oyster harvest rules and regulations remain in effect.
