MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an argument between two men outside a Mesa nail salon led to one shooting the other.
Sgt. Steve Berry says officers responding to reports of shots fired around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Power and McKellips roads found a man suffering from gunshot wounds outside Elite Nails.
Berry says the suspected shooter, an ex-employee of the nail salon, was sitting in his vehicle and was arrested without incident.
Investigators say the suspect showed up at the salon and the victim, a current employee, came outside to speak with him.
Police say at some point during their conversation, the suspect shot the victim with a handgun.
Berry says the victim is listed in stable condition at a hospital.
Police have not yet filed charges against him.
