CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) - A New York real estate investor is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to a federal indictment that combines two child pornography cases against him.

Newsday (https://bit.ly/1kCzp8i ) says the latest charges accuse Joseph Valerio of producing pornography of a 6-year-old Long Island girl in his Smithtown basement.

In the earlier case, it’s alleged that he had a former girlfriend in Ukraine make and send him pornographic videos of her 3-year-old daughter.

Valerio had been released on $3 million bail after his arrest in early February. Then the new allegations surfaced.

His attorneys proposed a stringent new bail package but the judge rejected it on Thursday. They declined to comment later.
