HOULTON, Maine (AP) - The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says it has charged six men with selling drugs after a month-long operation in Aroostook (ah-RUHS’-tuk) County.
In a statement Friday, the agency says five men were charged with selling bath salts and a sixth was charged with trafficking Oxycodone. The arrests were made Thursday.
State agents say they worked to infiltrate the operation for a month.
Agents seized 12 pounds of hallucinogenic bath salts and about $40,000 in cash. The six were jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail. It could not immediately be learned if they had lawyers.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
