ODENTON, Md. (AP) - About 20 families, including service members stationed at nearby Fort Meade, were displaced by an Odenton apartment building.
Anne Arundel County firefighters say the blaze at Seven Oaks was reported Friday morning. Division Chief Keith Swindle says nearly 70 firefighters battled the blaze for three hours.
Ten of the three-story building’s 30 units were damaged in the fire. Swindle said the apartments were built in 1988, before sprinklers were required.
No one was injured.
A Fort Meade spokeswoman said at least five military families were affected, The Capital of Annapolis reported (https://bit.ly/1kDohZ0).
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
