GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - A judge has set a $1 million cash bond for a man accused of getting into a shootout with authorities during a domestic violence case in Palisade.

George Romero is facing charges of attempted murder of a police officer after the standoff on Wednesday.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports (https://tinyurl.com/phq32lu ) nobody was hit in the exchange of gunfire.



Chief Deputy District Attorney Trish Mahre said Romero threatened victims and told them no one would leave alive if authorities got involved.
