CHEROKEE VILLAGE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Sharp County are looking for a suspect in the robbery of a bank in Cherokee Village.

The Baxter Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/1lGaZLi ) that an FNBC bank was robbed Thursday when a female wearing a gray hoodie and a black ski mask reportedly brandished a pistol and demanded money. The bank is located in the same shopping center as the Cherokee Village City Hall, which also houses the town’s police department.

Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts says authorities do not have a suspect and are following up on leads.

Shortly after the robbery, a 29-year-old Cherokee Village woman who was identified as a suspect turned herself in to authorities at the Hardy Police Department, where her vehicle was searched. Counts declined to comment on the woman’s connection to the investigation.
