PITTSBURGH (AP) - A teenage girl has been struck by a dump truck near Pittsburgh.

Officials say the accident happened at about 3 p.m. Thursday. Allegheny Police Lt. Andrew Schurman says the unidentified 14-year-old was following other students and crossing a street and her view may have been obstructed by a school bus.

The girl was flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital for treatment of what are reportedly critical injuries.
