MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Missouri man has pleaded not guilty to stalking a North Dakota woman.

Carl Story is accused in federal court of harassing, intimidating and threatening to hurt the woman, who was living in Rolette. Story was arrested in Kansas City, Mo.

Story pleaded not guilty Wednesday to stalking, mailing threatening communications and interstate threatening communications.

Authorities say Story placed the woman “in reasonable fear” of death and serious bodily injury to herself and members of her immediate family.

A spokesman with the federal public defender’s office could not be reached for comment.
