LAKE PROVIDENCE, La. (AP) - State police have arrested a Lake Providence police officer on one count of malfeasance.

Troopers say investigators looked into reports that 52-year-old Lee Antwine falsified a police report in reference to a crash that occurred Feb. 16 in Lake Providence.

Antwine surrendered to investigators at the East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office.

If convicted, he faces up to a $5,000 fine and five years in prison.

It was unclear whether Antwine has an attorney.
