CLINTON, Iowa (AP) - A firefighter has been injured battling a blaze in the eastern Iowa city of Clinton.
The Quad-City Times says (https://bit.ly/1lBvY21 ) firetrucks were dispatched about 9 p.m. Wednesday after someone reported a dryer fire. The arriving firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the structure’s eves and second-floor windows.
The injured firefighter suffered a cut on one of his feet from a piece of broken glass. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center-Clinton for treatment and then was released.
The fire cause is being investigated.
