CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A Chesterfield woman is charged with leaving the scene of a hit and run accident that killed a pedestrian.
Fifty-four-year-old Yelena Pelts is accused of striking 41-year-old Roy Joseph in a Feb. 11 accident. KMOX-AM (cbsloc.al/1ifnD3u ) reports that Chesterfield police initially arrested her one week after the fatal collision as the suspected driver but released Pelts pending further investigation. A felony warrant was issued on Wednesday.
Pelts remains in jail on a $10,000 bond.
