BANGOR, Maine (AP) - Bangor police say they’ve made an arrest in the death of a 5-month-old child.

Sgt. Catherine Rumsey says 25-year-old Samuel Moore was charged Thursday with manslaughter and was being held at the Penobscot County Jail.

She says he’d been babysitting the victim, Korbyn Antworth. The baby died Wednesday at Eastern Maine Medical Center. The cause of death has not been released.

Rumsey says the case is still under investigation. Moore does not have an attorney and bail had not been set.

He is due to have his initial court appearance on Friday.
