BALTIMORE (AP) - Fire officials say five people, including two firefighters, are injured after a one-alarm house fire in northeast Baltimore.

Firefighters were called to the home on Glendale Avenue early Thursday and found flames and heavy smoke coming from all levels of the duplex.

Fire department spokesman Ian Brennan says firefighters rescued three women from the home, including two women found hanging from rear windows. They were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in serious condition.

Brennan says the third woman was found inside and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Officials say two firefighters are being treated for minor injuries.
