SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested two drivers suspected in a hit-and-run incident caught on surveillance video in which a 14-year-old girl was struck twice at a Santa Ana intersection.
Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says the accident would have been the girl’s fault if both drivers had remained at the scene.
The Orange County Register reports (https://bit.ly/1qbqtHT ) 21-year-old Amanda Sananikone was arrested Wednesday and booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. Investigators say after striking the girl Sananikone got out of her car, walked up to the victim and then drove away.
Also booked was 32-year-old Adan Camacho, who was arrested shortly after the Monday afternoon collision.
The girl was treated at a hospital for a leg injury and released. Police say she darted into traffic against a red light.
