KELSO, Wash. (AP) - A Portland woman accused of a wrong-way crash in Longview that killed a man and seriously injured his wife and daughter pleaded not guilty Tuesday to vehicular homicide and vehicular assault charges.
Cowlitz County prosecutors say 32-year-old Nichole McCaslin was driving under the influence of alcohol Feb. 21 and they plan to seek an exceptional sentence at the trial scheduled for July.
The crash killed 47-year-old Brett Dawdy of Longview and injured his wife and 14-year-old daughter.
The Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1gRsSkv) McCaslin also was injured in the crash and had an arm in a sling at her court appearance. She’s free on $75,000 bond, but not allowed to drive.
