CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A Logan man has been sentenced to two years and three months in federal prison for obstructing an arson investigation.
U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says 36-year-old Phillip Wayne Workman was sentenced Tuesday. He pleaded guilty in October.
Four other people pleaded guilty to their roles in conspiring to burn down a commercial building in Logan for the $1 million insurance policy. They will be sentenced later this month.
According to prosecutors, Workman obstructed the investigation by accusing others of committing the crime.
