COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Jurors have begun deliberating charges against a Colorado Springs man charged with murder, attempted murder and other crimes against people connected to his crumbling marriage and divorce.
Attorneys finished closing arguments Tuesday in the case of 52-year-old Bruce J. Nozolino, who’s accused of killing his ex-wife’s former lover and wounding her divorce attorney.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (https://tinyurl.com/mb4wdwa ) prosecutors portrayed Nozolino as a bully who tried to control people’s lives with violence.
The defense said the case against Nozolino was based on fear, speculation and thin evidence.
Nozolino is charged with the 2008 shooting death of Richard Schreiner, whom prosecutors said had an affair with Nozolino’s wife years earlier.
He’s also charged with wounding his ex-wife’s divorce lawyer and shooting into the home of the judge presiding over his divorce.
