OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say a woman who was shot to death on the city’s northeast side was pregnant and the case is now being investigated as a double homicide.
Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said Monday that the state medical examiner’s office has determined that 18-year-old Latisha Shaw was pregnant when she was killed in the Sunday night shooting.
Wardlow says officers investigating the shooting shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday found Shaw lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound and that she died later at a local hospital.
Wardlow says investigators believe Shaw and some friends had been involved in a fight a few blocks away and that she was walking away when she was shot.
