NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin will give keynote remarks at an event at Norwich University focused on preventing drug addiction.
Shumlin will speak at a special event called “What Ails Vermont - Is There a Cure to the Drug Epidemic?” hosted by the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation and Norwich University.
Panel speakers include Vermont Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Harry Chen, Vermont State Police Director Col. Tom L’Esperance, Norwich lecturer David Orrick and Director of the Vermont Center for Justice Research Max Schlueter. Panelists will focus on addiction prevention strategies.
The event will be April 8 at 4 p.m. in Plumley Armory on the Norwich University campus.
