SALEM, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been arrested after police say he led them on a brief chase on Interstate 93 in the Salem area.

Police said they tried to stop a car on I-93 north near the Exit 1 off-ramp on Sunday afternoon for a defective equipment violation. The vehicle stopped in the right breakdown lane near Exit 2, but then took off as a trooper approached.

Derry police said they found the vehicle and tried to stop it, but the driver didn’t stop, and eventually fled the vehicle.

Police later arrested the man, identified as 35-year-old Kosmas Koustas of Hooksett.
