FARMINGTON, Maine (AP) - A jogger was taken to the hospital after being struck by a pickup truck in Farmington.

Police say 25-year-old Tess Perry was taken to Central Maine Medical Center’s intensive care unit after she was struck just after 9 a.m. Sunday while jogging along Fairbanks Road.

Sgt. Edward Hastings says a 25-year-old Brunswick man was on his way to Rangeley to go snowmobiling with his friends when he lost control of his pickup on the slushy road and struck Perry.



Hastings tells the Sun Journal (https://bit.ly/1dHdzyA ) the truck went off the road and into a snowbank.

The accident remains under investigation.
