ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An Albuquerque man is facing charges after police say he attacked a woman with a hammer.
Police say 57-year-old Michael Dehoney was arrested Saturday following a SWAT call to a northwest Albuquerque home.
According to investigators, Dehoney held the woman against her will. The woman later told officers Dehoney head butted her, beat her with his fists and used a hammer to hit her.
Police say following a standoff, Dehoney came out of the house and was taken into custody.
He is charged with kidnapping and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
It was not known if he had an attorney.
