DALLAS (AP) - A two-year-old Dallas girl has avoided serious injury after falling through a window from the second floor of an apartment.
Authorities say the toddler’s mother heard a thud, looked from the window and saw the child outside on the ground.
The child’s grandmother, Rhonda Thomas tells Dallas television station WFAA (https://bit.ly/1fCpJnz ) emergency medical help was summoned and the child was taken to a hospital where she appeared to be fine except for a swollen eye. Police say a cut to her eye required four stitches.
The family says the fall Friday evening was an accident but officials from Child Protective Services are investigating.
