HIGHLAND, N.Y. (AP) - Police are investigating a head-on crash between two BMWs that killed both drivers in Ulster County.
Police in the town of Lloyd tell local media outlets the victims were 51-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, both local residents.
The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday on Route 9W near the Mid- Hudson Bridge in Highland. Police say the man was driving a 1995 BMW north when he collided with a 2005 BMW sport utility vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman died at a Poughkeepsie hospital. They were the only ones in the cars.
The names weren’t immediately released, pending notification of families.
