BRANDON, Miss. (AP) - Strong winds accompanying a winter storm brought down trees early Monday in Brandon.

WAPT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1hBb2oo ) one fell on a vehicle on but no injuries were reported.

Strong winds knocked down trees Monday morning on U.S. Highway 80. Police closed the highway temporarily to remove the debris.



Elsewhere in the state, snow and freezing rain fell in some northern counties. Temperatures were below freezing in much of northern Mississippi.
