PERRY, Ga. (AP) - Fire officials in middle Georgia say members of a wedding party helped rescue an elderly couple from a house fire.

Perry Fire Chief Joel Gray tells the Telegraph of Macon (https://bit.ly/1eOiBYD ) that he pulled up to a house fire Sunday afternoon and saw a man in a tuxedo and a woman in a wedding dress helping the couple down the front steps of a house on Main Street after it caught fire.

Gray says members of the wedding party were across the street when they heard a suspicious noise and saw smoke wafting from the house.

No injuries were reported, but the house was destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
