PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Average gasoline prices in Rhode Island have gone up by 3 cents a gallon in the past week.
The weekly AAA Southern New England survey released Monday finds the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular at $3.55.
The price is 11 cents more than a month ago and 9 cents higher than the current national average of $3.46.
Rhode Island drivers were paying 24 cents more for gas at this time last year.
The AAA survey found a 33-cent range in prices, from a low of $3.36 a gallon to a high of $3.69.
