DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say an arson suspect has been arrested shortly after fires broke out on four different Detroit streets.
Detroit fire Lt. Dennis Richardson tells the Detroit Free Press (https://on.freep.com/1ojdRuw ) that fires were set in four vacant homes starting around 11:15 a.m. Sunday.
The arson investigator says two fires spread to adjacent homes and one occupied home was destroyed. He says no one was injured.
Richardson says he and another arson investigator caught the suspect after a two-block chase following a tip from area residents.
Richardson says “catching a suspect like this doesn’t happen that often.” He didn’t release the suspect’s name.
