Natchez fatal shooting arrest

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - A 22-year-old Natchez man has been charged with murder in a fatal shooting that occurred in February in the city.

Police Detective Jerry Ford tells The Natchez Democrat (https://bit.ly/O4Dpjq ) that Maurice Davis is being held in the city jail in fatal shooting of Terrence Thornburg.

Ford says the 20-year-old Thornburg was shot in the back of head Feb. 23 at his home.

Ford says investigators believe the shooting occurred during an argument between Davis and Thornburg over a dice game.

Davis was arrested Thursday.

Davis was being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
