Mustache festival held in Maine’s biggest city

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine’s largest city is celebrating the mustache this weekend.

The first annual Portland Facial Hair Fest includes the seventh-annual Stache Pag, a mustache pageant, along with beard and mustache judging on Saturday.

The pageant was being held at the Ocean Gateway.

Nick Callanan, a co-organizer, has dubbed the event “a full-on facial hair extravaganza.”
