SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a mother and daughter have been charged after the teen pulled a knife during a fight at a high school in Syracuse and was subdued by police with a Taser.
Syracuse.com (https://bit.ly/1jiyqbc ) reports that 36-year-old Connie Monaghan and 17-year-old daughter Raye Shanda Stephens were charged Friday after a disturbance at Nottingham High School. Police say Monaghan’s other daughter was involved in a fight Thursday on the way home from school and called her mother Friday to report threats against her.
Police say Monaghan got into a fight with a student and Stephens then pulled a knife on the student. Officers then used a Taser on Stephens.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct among other charges. It was unclear if either had an attorney.
