UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office says a man wanted in a 2004 attempted murder has been arrested in North Carolina.

Deputies say 34-year-old Rafael Quinones Rivera was arrested on March 21 in Winston-Salem. He is awaiting extradition to Maryland.

Authorities say Rivera attacked two men with a broken beer bottle after an argument in Silver Spring in May 2004.

Prince George’s County Police have a warrant for Rivera charging him with attempted murder and assault.
