SUV kills pedestrian in NYC’s East Village

NEW YORK (AP) - Police say an SUV has fatally struck a woman as she crossed a street in Manhattan’s East Village.

The NYPD says 47-year-old Lisa Julian was struck at 6:30 a.m. Thursday at Third Avenue and St. Mark’s Place. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The driver remained at the scene.
