SAN CARLOS, Ariz. (AP) - A 10-mile stretch of U.S. 70 east of Globe has reopened to traffic following an overnight closure due to an unspecified police situation.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says the highway reopened shortly before 8 a.m. after being closed since 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Traffic was detoured on local roads during the closure.
The closure was on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, and tribal police officials did not immediately respond Thursday to requests for information.
